My Bio
I am Shue Cane, a self-taught artist and designer. Born in Germany, drawing as a child, keeping practise up for many years. By 14 got involved with graphic design and have since then been doing this successfully for many years. Living in Barcelona my own design agency Minimumworks worked with and served great value to many companies (fashion, design, car, hotel, event and music industry). Freelancing I launched a fashion brand: Revolt.

Painting & drawing, digital and traditional & very different from everything, it’s more pure and real to me. It’s 100% me. My preferred material: oil colors, which gives me so much more freedom to work the paintings and explore new techniques and methods.

My art is very color-oriented.
I love strong colors.
I even use strong colors when paintings depict a sad story.
I still like to experiment with more intense colors to express and emphasize objects and life. Light and Shadow. Ying & Yang. Dominating are my girls in my paintings. They are my center of attention and everything else happens around them. Playing around with embedded modern cult objects in the works keeps them fresh and give them a sense of humor. Sad expressed in a colorful and pretty way. Pretty ugly, isn´t it?

Some find it hard to categorize my work into a certain art style. I have many different idols when it comes to art, like Dali, Tamara de Lempicka, Frieda Kahlo, Mark Ryden, Todd Schorr, Fafi, Miss Van, Anthony Ausgang, etc.
If I’d have to put a label on my art, it would probably be Pop Surrealism / LowBrow. Currently there is a lot going on in this underground scene, and I love how there is no barriers when it comes to materials and mediums that are being used, and where the artist comes from etc. It’s just about the ART!
